I’m just waiting for twitter next

Not me. I tried it, but didn’t have time to read the instructions. I got an account to try to convince POTUS to veto the IML. After using it to post a few comments on articles that didn’t require facebook, I tried following a couple people. I then kept getting notices whenever one or both of them followed someone else and suggestions for who else to follow. Too much to follow. I see it could eat away at a person’s time. The worse was seeing on of my followees post responses to other people. Had no idea who he was talking too, it was like eavesdropping on a conversation, but only hearing one side. Like I said, I didn’t know what I was doing.
Already get fifty emails a day to go through, so I unfollowed my followee and that seems to have been mistaken for a slight. Oh boy.

    • Hmmm.....Twitter for ACSOL?

Now Twitter would be an interesting method to get alerts, info, etc out there for those who need to know something or those who don’t know anything about recidivism and other data. Of course, it could have the reverse effect and galvanize the opposition masses.

PLEASE TELL OTHER RC’S ABOUT TEXT ALERTS, especially RC’s who don’t have easy access to email, or RC’s who prefer texting because email is a bit too high-tech.

I set this up to help seniors and homeless RCs I know who don’t use email.

We will send all events both by email and by text, so if you get email alerts you won’t miss anything by not signing up for text alerts.

As you know, we can only put 160 characters in a text message, but email alerts have no such limitation, so email will contain more information. Therefore, I recommend you sign up for email alerts if you have email.
