Why Australia should not have a public register of child sex offenders

Sex offender registries don’t prevent re-offending (and vigilante justice is real)

Sorry to say, but the registry will not be a deterrent much less promote the safety, health and welfare of the ChiLdRenZ.

“I have always fought for the protection of children and this is a battle that we must win.”

Oh, yes. Let’s have a “war” on them and see how successful you are. Again, sorry to say, you might as well be having a war on dust.

Peter Dutton is a liar. People who fight for the protection of children don’t support Registries. Registries are grandstanding and theater. Nothing else.

The U.S. is having a war with its Registries. Dutton should take a closer look at how badly they are losing. Personally, I’m around children anonymously literally all the time just because, and only because, of the Registries. I’ve also done a great job keeping law enforcement struggling. Their morale is awful and their turnover is out of control. It’s hilarious. There is a long list of other ways that I’ve checked out as a contributing citizen.

I guess that is what “people” like Dutton think is “winning”. I’m glad to see the immoral people losing.

Yeah um….either no one promoting/protecting the Registry has realized this, or they simply do not give two 💩’s but the Registry is in no way a deterrent or a tool to keep those in trapped by it from reoffending. In fact, now that the worms are out of the can and most of society knows the Registry ruins lives, people know that they have a better chance at getting away with murder to avoid Registration. It’s really sad that this is what society has become.

Now I can die happy. Peter Dutton has announced government support for my national public register of convicted paedophiles

The audacity of Australia!

@Facts should Matter. I don’t think all of Australia’s behind him on this one. In fact the queensland goverment’s already said they’re not going along with this.

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
