Army sex offender argues that prison’s ban on contact with his children violated rights

A soldier convicted of a sex crime involving a child will argue in the military’s top court next week that a prison policy preventing him from contact with his own children violated his rights and unduly punished him. Full Article

It is a violation of rights and injures children, kids, teenagers until they are 18 years old that want to see their parents. It also isn’t just in the Army but all prisons have this policy.

I had issues with this at a different Brig. I wrote a letter to my then pregnant adult girlfriend about our expectant unborn daughter, and the Brig took disciplinary action against me for “grooming” a future victim. This was 14 years ago. I wasn’t in the Brig long enough to fight it, but they took a good chunk of good-time (only later to restore it). I ended up writing a letter to my Congressman about it, and a few week later the Brig Commanding Officer had me in his office asking how we could resolve it. The military prisons (especially the USDB) are nothing more than kangaroo courts when dealing with inmates. One can be attacked and if a person fought back they were also charged with assault. I recall the main psychologist at one point was a Lesbian, but she had the nerve to call the inmates with sexual crimes “deviants”. She was angry if one didn’t want to go through her program, even though she demanded one agree with all of the charges the prosecutor threw at people. yes, the Brigs are the same also.. if you don’t play their game (volunteering to go to treatment) they restrict your daily activities.. library privilages, tv time, even reduce the numbers on your approve phone list, and increase your daily brig maintance time (cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms shower rooms, scrubbing walls, etc)

Yeah, this is what I am talking about. They kept me from my 13-18 year old son and I think they owe something for that shit…. F-them. Maybe I’ll sue em for that shit. Bout to file in state court now I can tell yu all that. Federal court is about done after the 9th really as we know SCOTUS isn’t ready take it up yet. Especially Pro Se I am sure. I love to see people fight back for sure……
