YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – The combined efforts of the United States Marshals Service, Navajo County Sheriff’s Office and state police departments led to hundreds of sex offender compliance checks.
In a press release, only one arrest was made in a compliance operation across Northern Arizona.
“The Marshals Service is committed to assisting our partner agencies with sex offender compliance checks. By determining if offenders are complying with court ordered requirements, especially in rural communities, we help protect those most vulnerable to sex offenders,” said District of Arizona Acting U.S. Marshal Van Bayless.
Furthermore, between September 12 and September 16, 2022. a total of 212 compliance checks were performed by state, local, and federal law enforcement officers.
Moreover, this resulted in the identification of eight deceased offenders and the arrest of one offender.
I noticed there was no mention of the cost to get that single arrest.
Criminal and District of Arizona Acting U.S. Marshal Van Bayless said of this waste of resources that they were “determining if offenders are complying with court ordered requirements”. Umm, I think the criminal has forgotten some key Registry lies. The “requirements”/harassment is not court ordered. Most of it is retroactive and illegal. She needs to read this article. It goes into great detail about the new “Arizona law, which took effect on January 2022”. It says near the end of the article, “Educating sex offenders on the new Arizona law was the primary focus for the compliance operation.” I guess the courts ordered people to follow whatever new special “requirements” are given ONLY to them and their families.
What garbage. These fools really believe their nonsense.
No PFR should ever allow law enforcement to get near them or their families. Not at home, work, or anywhere else. People with brains need to stop propping up this criminal charade. Don’t allow these law enforcement criminals to waste time, money, and other resources on idiocy. Make them do actual real work and try to actually prevent or solve crimes.
And again, everyone should be voting for politicians who actually believe in freedom and limited government, who do not just lie about that. We must vote out all people who obviously believe that government can never be too big, cost too much, have too many employees, or have too many laws. We must join organizations that work to take resources from these thieves. Defund, defund, defund.
In honor of this compliance check I will do what I do most weekends and that is ensure that the Registries are not just worthless, but a lot worse. I will ensure that I am around a lot of people this weekend, including children, who will have no possible chance of knowing that I am listed on the Hit Lists. And as usual, I’ll observe everyone and the situations and think about how ineffective the Hit Lists are at the time and in reality. I will think about how these big government employees fantasize that their Lists “protect” anyone and how easy it is to negate any of that.
Have warrants been issued for the 8 dead registrants for failure to update? If not, why not?
Something just occurred to me. Why is the US Marshall releasing this story to Yuma? Yuma is in southwestern Arizona, about a 4 hour drive from Phoenix (central Arizona) and probably around 6 or 7 hours from northern Arizona. Why hasn’t the local northern Arizona media picked up on this?
Maybe it’s nothing, but curious nonetheless.
More crime control theater. PFRs make great targets for this crap, as everyone assume that there is an eternal need to shove cops into PFRs lives.
I find it sad, but also amusing that they found 8 times as many dead PFRs, as they did out of compliance PFRs. Notice even in death they are still, “offenders”. Shocked there was no, “predator” mention. They do LOVE that lie.
More of these big shows lately??? More, or have I just not noticed?
They’re not fighting the good fight they think they are with these “compliance” side shows.
Notice how they almost always use the buzzword: “vulnerable” to justify their actions doing these garbage sweeps. It’s just fear and hate mongering run amok and being sold as a “public safety” measure.
Oh,and how dare those 8 dead people on the list not report within 3 days after they died to the local pig shop. /s
I’m surprised they announced one arrest (eight deceased offenders and the arrest of one offender). “The combined efforts of the United States Marshals Service, Navajo County Sheriff’s Office and state police departments led to hundreds of sex offender compliance checks.”
The money tax payers spent for one arrest was sure worth it.
WTF??? Three agencies are involved to mainly educate the PFRs of the new laws? That can be easily done at registration. It was simply for harassment and embarrassment. They are confirming that the PFRs are complying with court ordered requirements. I am sure, they checked PFRs who are not on paper and are no longer under court orders. They have completed their sentence and are only on a “regulatory” Hit List. This makes my blood boil.
This seems pretty pathetic — even by the normally pathetic standards of sex offender compliance checks. If they wanted to notify registrants of changes to the law, why not just send them a letter? Well, at least they’ll be able to keep tabs on the eight deceased offenders.
Oh, and they found 8 deceased? Did these 8 people all die within that year, or why was it not noticed that they did not register? Way to protect the public.
Really need to figure out the ratio of # compliance checks / # of arrests. Then use that number against the total man hrs and materials used ( Fuel, paper, meals, etc ). I could guess that each arrest for simply being out of compliance could easily cost taxpayers $200,000.
ACSOL needs a bean counter to keep a tally. Be interesting to see jaws in a court when they find out how much this is costing the taxpayers.
This is a new law that started in Jan 2022.
Probation:
Arizona registry, Jan 2022
Whoever is in charge of protecting civil rights for Arizona, Arizona made is easy to compare and make the parallel to probation with compliance checks being a part of the registry since Jan 2022. This should be an easy slam dunk law suit. Maybe ACSOL can look into it.
I guess if they found one registrant out of compliance, out of 212 registrants, then I guess the registrants don’t need an education on how to stay in compliance. What a waste of money. Could have just did this with a nice flyer to all of them. But then of course they couldn’t do their fear-mongering.
What a massive waste of money and resources.
This wasn’t a waste of money for the US Marshals this is how law enforcement keeps there sex offenders in line through fear and intimidation, just when people start feel a bit normal they show up at your door with like 50 cops scaring everyone in the neighborhood and making sure your back to square one.
I’m not angry at law enforcement for getting away with wasting all that taxpayers money, my beef is with the registrants in America who let them get away with doing pointless stuff like this.
Iv read a lot of smart and intelligent comments on this post, and the sad part is, this is as far as these comments will ever go, no one in America will hear your cry’s, so no one in America will care.
My question is, Why haven’t sex offenders went to the news station’s in there community’s with actual facts and demand for the truth to be published, instead of posting angry comments on here then crawling back into their little holes the registry dugout for them.
I’ve ran out of patience with sex offenders, bowling down and cowering in the presence of law enforcement.
Me personally I’m over it 😡
How embarrassing for the “government.” “Law enforcement” harassed hundreds of “Registered Sex Offenders,” yet only made one arrest, and identified eight deceased offenders.
What a joke.
I’m sure the so-called law enforcement will hold a self-righteous “press conference” for the one person they were able to arrest. Someone call the alphabet networks!!
