The FBI found 200 sex trafficking victims and more than 125 suspects during a two-week child exploitation operation in July, federal officials said Tuesday.
During “Operation Cross County,” the FBI located 59 victims of child sex trafficking and child sexual exploitation and 59 missing children.
The FBI teamed with state and local agencies to identify or arrest 126 suspects of child sexual exploitation and human trafficking and 68 suspected traffickers.
I hate Merrick Garland. He’s coming after us next.
You know as much as I am for protecting kids from sex trafficking – I can’t help but think that these operations will segue way into something more fascistic and sinister that will do more harm than good. It seems to me that anytime an operation is launched under the guise of protecting children that underneath it is a smokescreen to cover something up.
Why doesn’t the FBI mention that most of the 125 suspects arrested are part of A human trafficking organization run by the Mexican cartel and 90% of the children they rescued were from Central America.
These “sweeps” invariably dig up lots of seventeen-year-old “children” who must be “saved.” It’s interesting how all government had to do was to prohibit all sex for anyone under eighteen and immediately society’s definition of “child” expanded right up to that mark. To hear young adults in their late teens being referred to as “children” is, itself, extremely childish. I think it’s long past due that adults start to grow the hell up and recognize adolescence as distinct from childhood. Even more egregious: referring to them, for the purpose of sentimentalizing infantilization, as “babies.” Truly cringeworthy!
I don’t understand. The FBI has been part of the trafficking. Now they play heroes.
