I suspect there will be restrictions for those with a sex offense. The BOP restricted SO access to the Trulincs. The system provided external email access to inmates. My information on the subject is nine years old. Does anybody know what current restrictions exist?

This is really quite amazing. I don’t know how they will control content or how they will manage things like breakage, but I imagine this could be a lifeline for many behind bars and their worried loved ones on the other side.

First, I’ll bet those with sex charges will still be precluded. Second, the first time an inmate uses one of those tablets to record staff doing something illegal, unethical, or just plain wrong (within the first week, in all likelihood), they’ll all be removed.
