There will be much to discuss at this meeting including the status of SB 448 and our efforts to challenge residency restrictions. We only meet in San Diego three times a year so be sure to join us at this meeting!
im a San Diego college student considering my transfer options. Ill plan on being there too. I have ascended beyond where thought I could, making Phi theta Kappa, and even representing my college and society in the latest conference call with Jill Biden for Heads up and college promise. I plan to graduate valedictorian ho;ding perfect scores in every class, and have even been offed scholarships to such prestigious schools as Cornell university. I’m always wondering when my status will slam a door. maybe ill make it to a great height and then self disclose to show them all we are people. blessings to you all.
I will be there, with my Friends….
Has anyone on probation ever attended these meetings, especially with a GPS ankle bracelet? Are there any rules, like not associating with other SOs that would cause a problem if on GPS since the location would be known to the PO? We would like to attend, but we are always paranoid, and the rules are so vague.
Another good meeting and very informative. Janice, I hope you feel better. I know you were sick, but Frank and Chance did a great job filling in in your absence. I am curious to read more about the “Marshall Project”. There were some sad stories, and I hope everybody will fight for their rights. It is always good to see people who understand and who are in the same boat. Thanks for all the great meetings. I am hoping to attend the next one.
Thank you Janice, Frank, Chance for traveling across the State so we can have regional meetings. Many can not travel very far. It is important that people meet face to face.
When will the next meeting occur in San Diego? I am eager to help advocate for us RSO’s. I actually wrote a highly rated book on catching pedophiles but ended up committing the same offense. I intend to write a followup book on the experience as well which will likely get a lot of media attention/buzz,
I am also looking for an attorney to discuss two potential cases;
1.) The websites (city-data.com, homefacts.com, etc.) using aggregate data feeds of the registry are now disseminating this information without requiring the end users to agree not to use the data for any purpose other than protecting yourself/loved ones. In fact, they are displaying sex offender information within search results (results within the site as well as search engines like Google) without ever clicking the link to agree not to use the information illegally.
2.) I was declined services to the disabled by a non-profit organization because of my RSO status and this must be discriminatory. This service is only 3 nationally that can help my unique disability.
Looking forward to getting involved here.
