Judge finds AI child pornography defendant not guilty due to uncertain law
The news video includes IN State Senator Aaron Freeman saying “the law does not distinguish between a live human and an AI-generated image ….the point is, this is the image of some child, whoever that child is…..”.
Well, no, Senator Freeman, that is exactly the point: the AI image is an image created by a computer program – it is not a real child at all, it is only a two dimensional image. There is no real, live, actual child being harmed currently or in the production of the image.
I think the lawmakers and the prosecutors are going to have a real uphill battle with this one.
You can hate it all you wish, but if you can’t define it, that’s going to be a problem.
