As long as I am a person forced to register, I am avoiding ICE protests. If I get kidnapped by armed masked goons for no legal reason, once they find out I am a person forced to register, they may beat me to death and then lie about why they had to beat me to death. I saw one TikTok video where an ICE thug was showing off his NAZI tattoo. I bet many of the agents are white nationalists, and subsequent to 911, they have inflicted more violence than all other groups combined per the FBI. I presume us people forced to register are lumped with all the other people they hate.
In the meantime, I will stick to non-ICE protests. I do not have to be concerned about national guards at protests. There are no national guards running around where I am up because our hot wheels governor is engaging in a civil war by sending guards to attack people in the Chicago area. Appears half the people here are ok with that. I fall into the group that believe that is not ok – so sorry Athena and anyone else here residing in that area that you have to deal with the hatred of others.

I see in Ohio two children, a 10 year old girl and a 9 year old boy have been charged with attempted murder and rape of a 5 year old girl. They both will be hitting the registry soon. My question, where did these two children get the idea to do this??? They learned this from somewhere. Sad…..just sad.
I am so sick of the Chicago registration process. Of course I am sick of the registry period, but these goons take it to a new level. My son waited in line 3 hours Friday to report his new address. He had to get this new address because if you’ve been following along, CPD made him move out of his condo “immediately” when he returned from visiting his brother in CA. All of a sudden that address was 15 feet too close to an in-home (supposed) day care. So two days after reporting return from travel in person, he had to report in person again to register my address to move in with me. Why didn’t he just report it then and there when given the “move out immediately” mandate? Because we had to scramble to provide proof of residency documents such as bank statement and other documents to prove he moved in with me. Moronic.
So he gets that done, and finally has some good luck with his job applications and lands a job tending bar / serving food. That’s actually great news, but he had to report in person to let them know. And now we moved him to a new apartment, again a good thing, and he had the 3 hour wait on Friday morning. So since the last week of August he’s been there in line, in person 4 times. They are intentionally slow – all info is in the computer, but they drag their feet and all 3,000+ people forced to register in this city are funneled to that location, not to mention a couple other registries I think, I can’t keep track.
There is no way all this police interaction is good for people, and as proof, many are arrested upon arrival as the thugs claim technical violations with their paperwork. They don’t even have to leave their warm desk while people stand outside in the cold waiting to “report in”. (the line forms outside at 7am and the office is only open 7:30 to 2pm M-F). I have no clue how this is not a Due Process violation. You are forcing people to register in person within 3 days, but you are closed weekends, and if the line is too long and they turn you away (which they do), you are in violation punishable by arrest and imprisonment. How do you keep a job when you have to keep reporting in and it takes hours on end in a far south location?

If the government can’t force inmates, those serving a sentence, to work for free, how is it that the government is forcing members of the public to work for free?
PFR (members of the public) are assigned “duties” = services.
This is not punishment for an offense, so the services provided by PFR MUST be paid for.

May all of us people forced to register have as much courage to stand up for our rights as an attorney who was arrested by ICE. The attorney exercised his first amendment rights and yelled profanity at the ICE agents and then turned around, bent over, and pulled his pants down (not his underwear) to make the point of what he thinks of their illegal actions. The attorney was very careful to not in any way obstruct anything ICE was doing.
Of course ICE violated his first amendment rights and arrested him.
When I was doing my recent yearly mail in registration for Massachusetts, the form was different to where they’re now asking for ‘social media identifiers/platforms’ Since this was never a necessity in Mass, I called the registration board and they told me it’s a new federal requirement to report identifiers as well as a copy of your passport. I’ve heard people on this forum talk about the new sorna requirement for giving notice when being away from their state, but has anyone been following the requirement to report identifiers? And has your state said you have to do it because of federal guidelines?

June of 2025 I got removal from the California registration. My passport never had the “notification”. July I went to Cabo and upon my return my passport was revoked at the San Ysidro border crossing. I was told to re-apply for a new passport, include all of my court docs to the State Dept and to DHS/ice/angel watch which I had done about 4 times. I was wrong to think that the govt would do the right thing. Just got my new passport and lo and behold, it contains the “notification”.
Has anybody had this happen to them and if so, can it be corrected and how?
