FL: DeSantis tells Florida House to impeach Tallahassee judge who released sex offender on bond

Gov. Ron DeSantis is calling on the Florida House to impeach a Tallahassee judge who briefly released a sex offender onto the streets, resulting in the killing of the man’s 5-year-old stepdaughter.

“To my friends in the Florida House of Representatives, I don’t think what you’ve done is enough,” DeSantis said during a Tampa press conference on Tuesday. “You have the power, and you have sufficient numbers in your chamber, to impeach this judge, Tiffany Baker-Carper.

“Until you start holding these judges accountable, they are gonna continue to find ways to benefit the criminal element,” he added.

The comments were the strongest yet from the governor who’s long-battled who he calls “activist judges.” Although it’s the first time DeSantis — who’s insisted for years that unruly judges must be held accountable — has pushed for impeachment, it comes only days after President Donald Trump publicly called for a federal judge to be impeached.

It takes a two-thirds vote from the Florida House to impeach judicial officers, followed by a two-thirds vote in the Senate to …

I wonder how Gov. Desantis feels about Joseph Duggar molesting a 9 year old girl back in 2020/21 in Bay County, Florida? Gov. Desantis needs to impeach himself from politics and any ambition he thinks will get him into the White House. Gov. Desantis needs to clean up his own messes, get a personality, and learn how to smile.

There were no violations for one year prior and no violent history, so he presented an image of trust he could be out in public without issue. Then he murders the child with the mother. The trusting precedent was set and then flipped. And this is an activist judge?! Campaigning already, Ron?! As I said previously here in the forum, the system was already good to remand him to confinement if needed, so another feel good law wasn’t needed beyond election year politics.

Ron DeSanctimonious can pound sand. He is an ENEMY OF GOD!

DeSantis’ impeachment call came Tuesday as he signed Missy’s Law. A priority bill for Attorney General James Uthmeier, the legislation demands judges keep defendants convicted of dangerous crimes in custody instead of freeing them ahead of sentencing.”

What are dangerous crimes, and why are we prosecuting crimes that aren’t dangerous?

Was the sex offense a capital offense under that new FL law? Perhaps that may be the reason. The children in these capital sex offense cases may be at risk of greater criminal harm as a result of the new law. By the time law enforcement finds out about the sex offense, it will likely be too late for that child.

DeSantis knows about and cavorts with “criminal elements.” He just renamed an airport after one.
