In a perfect society there would be no sex offenders. In an imperfect society there are. In fact, today over 700,000 sex offenders are registered in the United States. More become registered each year with estimates of an additional 10,000 and 20,000 annually. Full Opinion Piece

Correct! How can someone even on parole function? I mean, we have states like Florida who are actually driving people into a homeless situation! I mean, FLorida is almost making it impossible for any offender to function, live or even gain employment. IF you have a job and own a home in FLorida, with these situations, your lucky. Good luck. Its nuts
Florida is an extreme example of the stupidity of sex offender laws going unchecked. One can only hope that global warming will quickly make the entire state of Florida vanish into the ocean where it belongs then everyone will be homeless!
Do a Poll and ask who wishes to round up all sex offenders and make them move to designated areas, then ask who thinks sex offenders should be castrated, and then ask who think they should die? An astounding majority will want them gone, castrated and or dead. Do we live in a Democracy or is the majority opinion a Hypocrisy? A republic made of Government officials for the people can sift through fact and fiction, public opinion and make a rational decision based on a thought process. Let’s weigh Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness that the Constitution has entitled us all to.
When is enough enough? When do these men and women ever get to stop paying? It’s not like that with other crimes anywhere to the degree it is with sexual offenders. When is it ever enough?

I can’t help but think of the Bugs Bunny cartoon where Bugs is sawing off Florida saying “South America take it away”. But no time soon. I don’t think Florida will vanish into the ocean for something like 50 years.
