I am glad there are still some journalists who report the news without trying to sensationalize it. In many ways, it’s even a bit sympathetic, something we rarely see.

The fact that

“The law treats sex offenders harsher than most criminals,”

and

“despite the good intentions (more like misguided intentions at best) of the law, the label has ruined a young man’s life.”

This is inexcusable when one considers all the empirical information available that disproves all the hyped up “danger” and “need to monitor” theories. The situation and state of things have digressed to the point of not being able to call it “public shaming” or “banishment” anymore. This is straight up persecution of a created class of people who are prosecuted under laws made to go along with a created problem.

Department of Homeland Security aka New Gestapo. The DHS is nothing more than a domestic terrorist group with the power to terrorize the public with warrantless searches and harassment and threats!

Abolish the DHS.

I’m not sure the last time there’s been anything like US RSO conditions: you are banished and banned from society, but you’re not allowed to leave either. I envy those fortunate souls from the stock and pillory days. I can’t even get banished and leave this life behind! Tell me again how this is not a punishment. ..

Well, I’m not sure what to say, I can recall watching our favorite show “Catch a Predator “! There was a guy who showed up who clearly had some form of mental issues/mildly mentally handicapped. He was arrested ect. On another show, he was arrested again for a second time! This was nuts! Was he harmless? He truly could have potentially had sex with a minor! He clearly had impulsive issues. Although, this young man committed an initial crime that didn’t even involve a victim? So, it’s rather sad that they labeled Him a tier 2? When he hasn’t committed another crime. I feel terrible for both him and his parents
