Think I already told the story of this year’s Virginia House Bill 1366, in a previous CA RSOL post about 2 months ago. Anyway, this article is all about that Bill, and its sole purpose to make it drastically harder for a registered parent to be with his kid at school functions. I don’t think for California it will become so drastic; paying for a two week newspaper ad, then a court hearing. School administrators who do not consider the emotional well being of children of registrants put the children of the registrant and the entire family in a harmful and compromising position. This is institutionalized child abuse. As long these laws are continually forced in without thoughtful and compassionate treatment of the children of registrants, these awkward situations will continue to manifest in disastrous ways for innocent children that deserve better than the by products of hateful, shallow and reactive legislation. Well, let’s be real. A decade! He clearly has moved on. I can see if he committed numerous other crimes ect, but he has paid his debt to society and changed his life. When the registration first came out, going down to the police station was bad enough! Now, the legislators keep trying to tack things on. When I made my mistake, I was under the impression you pay your debt to society and move on. Move on!
