The FBI ran a child porn site to catch predators, and now the accused are crying foul

When ____ ____ ____ logged into a large child pornography website and downloaded images using his work computer, he was charged with receipt and possession of child pornography.

The operator of the website that was exploiting children, however, was not arrested.

That’s because it was the FBI. And federal prosecutors are defending the agency’s decision to secretly hijack and peddle child porn for two weeks as part of a sting operation. Full Article

  1. American Detained in America

The FBI victimized those kids as much, if not more, than those who downloaded the images from the FBI site as they had more images, more child porn, than anyone who visited the website. Those who went to the site should be charged for downloading the images, but even more so, everyone at the FBI who participated in this should be charged with distribution of child pornography.

      I agree American Detained.
      This is disgusting.

I’m in agreement as well. They can’t break the law attempting to catch others breaking the law.

I figure based on the recent past Supreme Court ruling, the FBI owes Each kid a large Sum of Money for Each picture/video.

I have heard stories about government agency task forces running similar sites for months. Anyone who justifies overstepping legal boundaries in favor of catching the bad guys is as bad, if not worse than the bad guys. Taking it to the next level isn’t as far fetched as people might believe. Using the middle east as an example the United States has tribal leader allies that openly have sex with prepubescent children in and around US military bases or at least in ear shot of US soldiers. The soldiers complain to commanders and the commanders say shut up if we want the assistance of these people we must let them go about their customs. Yet other clear human rights violations are criticized and fought because the people doing them are our enemies. So if a story ever surfaces that a government agency ran a sex trafficking operation don’t be surprised that they did it, be shocked it took them that long to justify doing it for the greater good.

Im pretty sure this was not the first sting they ran. Try 2005-6….I sure wish someone would find out and we could beat City Hall…so to speak.
