Wednesday, May 2, wasn’t a good day in appointed interim District Attorney Summer Stephan’s quest to win her first election in the June Primary.
In Justice Today, a leading publication in the field of criminal justice reform called out Stephan’s claims about human trafficking, suggesting she’s used inflated numbers to bolster her political and professional profile.
And Genevieve Jones-Wright, Stephan’s opponent in the upcoming June primary, has asked the State Attorney General’s office to investigate ten alleged violations of state law prohibiting employees–in this case, local law enforcement–from participating in political activities of any kind while in uniform.
Nawww, c’mon. They inflate numbers?
Its almost as if politics are about helping ones own carrier rather than the people you’re supposed to represent. Promise a bunch of BS. Pass a few BS laws. Profit. What actually happens after the fact is no longer your concern.
>AO – Very accurate and very well said.
This shouldn’t suprise you. This is how politics has always worked. It will only get worse. We live in an age of rigged elections, felonious politicians, and very corrupt law enforcement. The best we can hope for is an all out civil war.
AH! A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing (Suits-Business) Uniforms, the DA’s anyway.
Will have to trust lives with them and the Judge’s in 2021 and beyond, see how that
will work for Cali RC’s. Hope they’re honest in the future, haha. They want to look good,
not about people’s lives at stake, let alone them chipping and chopping Scott’s bill off from the good
it WAS. Thanks DA’s assn and LE assn. from Cali. Future is near. They don’t want to make headlines
for their career and paybacks for the releases in 2021, nor backlash, so what if an RC doesn’t make it.
