1. The 26 Schengen Nations (which allow registrants to visit)
As an agreement, Schengen was signed among the five out of ten countries of the European Union members back then, on the 14th June 1985. Under the Schengen agreement, travelling from one Schengen country to another is done without any passport and immigration controls or any other formalities previously required.

Hello,
I am planning to book a flight to Munich that hits Lisbon, Portugal first. Any trouble expected going through Portugal? I am off the registry, no need for 21 day notice and have a 1203.4 release. Conviction was 39 years ago and did involve a minor.
Made it to Copenhagen last year and on to Germany and Poland without a problem. Just checking.
Thanks.
Has anyone been on a cruise recently that’s still on the registry?
I applied for the UK ETA just to see if it gets approved or rejected. Questions they asked were have you ever been convicted of a crime, Yes. Have you ever served more than 12 months in incarceration (I forget if it said incarceration, jail or prison…ADHD so…), No. My sentence was 180 days, but in California you serve 1/2 your sentence which meant 90 days in Jail. Honestly, I think it was the most stress free 90 days of my life. When they walked me out of the court room into the tunnel to the jail I just let go of everything because I knew I really couldn’t do shit about anything while I was in jail. I read 22 books in those 90 days. I love reading, but because of my ADHD, in a normal environment, it takes me forever to read a book. I guess my glass was half full 🙂 Next question asked if the crime was for terrorism and two other things that I forget already, but it didn’t ask about sex crimes, No. Then a page generated by the app basically stated that I had no criminal offense, and we know UK has pretty extensive access to US criminal databases. Here are some specifics about my charge. It was a state charge in California in 2014, 311.11(a), possession of CP. It was a “Wobbler,” and initially a Felony, but i petitioned successfully for a PC 17(b) which reduced the charge from a felony to a misdemeanor (Thank you Chance Oberstein). I had a stamped passport with the stamp in the back, page 27 I think it was. I moved out of the country in 2023 with just under 2 years remaining on the 10 year registration requirement for my charge. I have temporary residence in one European country and have a applied for long term residency in another European country (will name them and details after I find out the final verdict on my long term residency application). I applied for a new passport in Europe and gave AW proof I’m no longer required to register in the US and I give them the address I was living at in Europe and they informed State Department that I’m no longer required to have the hitler identifier. I applied for a new passport last year and received it without the identifier. While writing this, I received an email notifying me my ETA for the UK was approved! Well we’ll see. I’m not naive. I’ll have to take a test run this year and see if I get in because we all know, and for those who don’t know, nothing matters until you are standing before the border guards who will let you pass, or not. You can ask all the questions you want here or in any other forum or group, but nothing is absolute and you don’t know until a decision is made on you at a border. I do think length of time since my a charge and whether it was a felony or misdemeanor, violent or not do play a role. I look forward to disclosing more as my situation continues to play out. Good luck to everyone and their travels!
