Please complete the ensnarement survey for C.A.G.E.

My name is Kathleen Hambrick. Some of you know me by my blog name Lady Justice Myth. I became a member of this community on February 17th 2017 when my then twenty year old son was entrapped in Washington state. There police run a ‘collars for dollars’ scheme by the name of Net Nanny. It took me a year to understand, against my upbringing, that the police agenda had nothing to do with public safety in this case, it has everything to do with police funding. I am comforted, at this time, that police tactics and practices are having a long overdue moment under the microscope.

After my year of confusion, my son was convicted of a police orchestrated, class A felony, victimless crime, and sent to prison with an indeterminate sentence, lifetime parole, and lifetime registration as a sex offender. At that point, with the death of life as I had imagined it to be, my advocacy started.

Through the creation of my blog I have reached out to people across the nation who tell me similar stories. I have consistent readers here in the U.S., Canada, Ireland, England, Australia, India, and Poland, among other nations.

Early in my journey I met two other local families with whom my advocacy efforts would be intertwined. They too had twenty year old sons stolen from them by police, and they too had to do something to fight this.

Now in year four of this ordeal, we three families are the core of CAGE (Citizens against Government Entrapment). Our website is CAGE.fyi. We have had a New York Times article written about us, been interviewed on Dr. Phil, met with legislators, and are now moving toward changing the laws in Washington state.

What I have found to be a major hurdle to my advocacy is not only that the police outright perjure themselves concerning these arrests, but that there are no current resources to refute these lies used to perpetuate this scam. As an example, when on the Dr Phil show, I asked an ICAC commander from California why the police do not search the homes of those arrested in police proactive sex stings, looking for other ‘victims’. His answer was “We do”. I only had the knowledge of a few cases, I could not effectively fight his lies without facts and statistics.

I know there are thousands, maybe tens of thousands of victims, the innocent men, in these police proactive sex stings around the country. These men have been hushed by harassment, ostracization, fear mongering, and Cancel Culture.

We at CAGE are dedicated to the abolition of government entrapment for sex ‘thought’ crimes. We are starting to make waves in WA state and looking to help with this issue on a national level. We need empirical data with which to fight the lies, deception, and purposeful manipulation created and perpetuated in defense of the proactive sex sting. The only way to get empirical data is from the source.

I created this survey so that the data collected could be used in opposition to those who would feign public safety concerns, while lining their own pockets. The truth must come out. The next time I am confronted with a lie in defense of these practices, I hope to have survey results I can use to set the record straight.

Please help us make a difference – for yourselves, your loved ones, and for those who have not yet been ensnared.  If you have been impacted by a sting operation,  please complete the survey for C.A.G.E.

Although I was never caught up in one of these stings, I think they are more egregious than the registry for many of the reasons you mention on your site. I’ll be posting your blog link every time the subject comes up while surfing the ‘net.

I was involved in one of these sting operations. Easy money for law enforcement to pretend to be legal age than do the I’m a minor switch. So we have people forced to register for talking to an adult pretending to be a minor. Sounds like a sick person to me.

Ms. Hambrick I hope many that have been caught in these stings do fill out this survey to help with this examination of harm these stings cause to people and families.
See I think the hardest thing being a advocate for someone on the registry is keeping that person hoepful and in belief they will have and do deserve a second chance in life after their sentence. I think the outcast feelings and being under the scope of “acceptable legal harassment” that is considered the registry obligations has really created a “post traumatic registry disorder” in a manner of speaking. Many that have been “targeted” in these entrapment cases have been given the idea that if they speak out or standup that it will somehow do more harm than good because the only thing they observe are harsher punishments and different new ways the law can be increased and used against them. I wouldn’t fault one person that chooses to fear the repercussions of what could but likely would not happen.
It’s hard advocating for people forced into the shadows of silence for fear of shame or harassment by the larger public, where even those within the registry itself find greater comfort and cover in joining in with those that support the registry. I firmly do not support the registry and believe it is a conspiracy of ways to purge guaranteed inalienable rights from United States citizens.
Laws were never meant to be enduring punishment beyond a court ordered jail sentence. Anyone that believes otherwise or states otherwise is catering to the masses of those that support illegal unethical practice of the law.
I am a advocate for my grandson and so far everything he has told me about how hard he was fighting for his rights I am finding to be true. I didn’t believe it was this difficult to fight for rights in this country but it is. I have written 3 attorneys in Illinois and also wrote a ACLU rep and still to no avail I have not even had a call back. I had my grandson call and leave a message asking for a free consult to discuss his case and see if he could maybe afford them to fight his appellate matter but they never returned his call. At this time I feel like our country and it’s interest in this matter of any person on this registry is solely based in if something drastically horrible can be prosecuted rather than the relief to those that haven’t done anything close and will likely never reoffend again.
The only way to make someone care is to give them a reason. I know had my grandson never been on this list, I wouldn’t have thought twice about it. Then the registry have some on this list that say I really am not hampered by being on the list because they have retired and do not have to find a job or are well off and can sustain themselves for most of or possibly their whole lives.
The problem is not if the registry hampers any person that reads this post, the problem is that your rights and your children’s rights and every person that is a United States citizen right’s have been abridged and discounted by this registry law. While the registry is allowed, the elimination of inalienable right’s is also allowed.
I’m not sure if most read what I am saying and yes I write a lot because I am passionate for my grandson’s freedom and anyone that is trapped in this registry of hell. The fact is that if you only care a little, you don’t care enough because all to do with this registry across the United States is to do with the silent elimination of inalienable rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights and the United States Constitution to each American Citizen and soon to one day be American Citizen. Do not be blind to the truth is all I’m saying.
In closing Kathleen I do hope you get the results and people do step up that qualify for your survey. Thank you for all you do.

I have never understood why they do not conduct reverse stings. For every fake minor trying to convince, entrap or snare a man or woman interested in sexually abusing a minor, there are probably hundreds if not thousands of real minors who are looking for sex with an adult.

Why aren’t the authorities chasing down these children before they get hurt or go on to become sex offenders themselves. How many of these girls prowling for men online go on to become mothers who abuse their sons? There seems to be no direct intervention to help these kids understand the risks involved.

This is why men and women still take the risk of accepting the invitations of minors online. Statistically it’s unlikely to be a cop and they get to commit their crime with a “willing” victim.

Craigslist Personals used to be FULL of minors, they were often answering my personal ads with “age is just a number” bullshit. To be fair, a lot of them were probably being trafficked and not just neglected at home, but provided with internet access and a locking bedroom door.

Seems they should be running their stings on both sides, not just one, if in fact they are to be run at all.

“there are probably hundreds if not thousands of real minors who are looking for sex with an adult”

There are also those 16-year-old minors who lie about their age while looking for sex WITH ANYONE online.

Yet if some poor un-suspecting adult fails to ask the 16-year-old for their ID, the adult is legally responsible for the consequences of hooking up with this Minor.

The 16-year-old is then a ‘Victim’ while the Adult will forever be accused of “seeking out the Minor in order to sexually abuse”

20 years later- still on the Registry for this BS Misdemeanor.

When I was arrested, they plastered my face on every channels’ evening news for 3 nights in a row. The cops would always end their interviews with “We are asking any other victims to please contact law enforcement.” But the lazy LEOs certainly did not search any of my property nor interview an additional potential victims.
LEOs just want to publicly reinforce & perpetuate the “frightening and high” mythology that keeps funds flowing into their donut shop departments!! 😡
