This is sick, disgusting and EVIL!!! This has to be struck down in either the state or U.S. Supreme courts. They are imprisoning a man because he cannot afford a fee…uh, I mean, fine, imposed upon him only because he is REQUIRED to register. What the eff?!?!?
If I had to pay for registration, I too would be in prison. That fee is very high.
In yet another move to prove registration is indeed punishment, Louisiana has just reinstated Debtor’s Prison! God forbid the man try to pay rent!
