UK: Even rapists should have another chance at playing football – that’s how a civilised society operates

… Unpalatable as the thought is, as much as his victim and her friends and family might be revolted by the very notion, he should be allowed to resume his playing career with Sheffield United. He has been punished for his crime once. We as a society have no right to punish him further. Full Op-Ed Piece

If only American voters were so civilized…

    • Branded

This will be good for our cause if he is allowed to play ( and of course does not do anything stupid again) and continues to show remorse . The idea that he has paid his crime will gain more weight . I am pulling for him .

  2. Tired of hiding

Of course, this is common sense which is in short supply here the land of milk and honey better known as the United States of America.

We don’t need common sense because we have the government to make decisions for us.

Just look how they do so far…238 years old and already peaked and on the decline!

    • Tim

The English government is what 1000 years old? It’s encouraging that that nation is harkening back to it Magna Carta, and resulting English Bill of Rights which gave citizens a check against excessive government power. America was founded on those principles, yet full of itself in its new found world domination, and has forgotten its history.
