WI: Teen sexting in Wisconsin is popular, criminal (Opinion)

In Wisconsin, if your teenager is “sexting” with other teens, he or she could end up being convicted of possession of child pornography (or numerous other sex crimes), sent to prison and placed on the sex offender registry.

Sexting is sending sexually explicit digital photos or videos to another person via cell phone or the Internet. It is the latest “craze” among teens and it’s popular in Wisconsin. According to research from TeenSafe.com, over 70 percent of teens admit to sexting with their boyfriends or girlfriends. Full Article

I guess it will not be long, 70% of population will be on the registry.

That is, of course, the entire point of the registry: Take something everyone does (Sexuality), make nearly all forms of it unlawful, and sell the public on this idea that all who end up on the list are equally evil/monstrous/animals/less than human using fear, hyperbole, hypothetical situations, hearsay, hysteria and paranoia, giving an oppressive government an easy way of creating a completely subdued, completely atomized, completely fearful populace, willing to relinquish all freedom in exchange for the government’s continued protection from those on the list.

      The people are getting duped.

The parents of the teens being arrested and having their lives destroyed by being put on that registry are starting to experience the precise outcome of their shortsighted capitulation.

        “The people are getting duped.”
The people are getting what their little insecurities feed on: someone lower on the social scale to look down upon, confirmation that the world really is out to get them and their children, affirmation of group belonging based on group hate, attainment of moral standing without struggle — and of course, stories of forbidden sex to titillate one out of numbness. It’s all to prop up moral in a continually sinking economy where the future becomes less rosy for most with each passing day.
