So what I understood from reading the article was that it was a misunderstanding of the law and they ended up applying it to everyone ? This was supposed to be only for those sentenced to life time monitoring. The legislator who co sponsored the bill even said that wasn’t right in doing so, almost like an informal apology? Lol. Yea, I’m sure he cares. pfff!

I don’t believe it was applied to everyone but rather it was applied to everyone that meet the new criteria for lifetime monitoring and was retroactive back 10 years. So even if the person has now been off probation/parole for several years, they still applied this law new law to them. I’m so glad this was overturned this quickly. I wish these people could successfully sue the state for this. It’s complete BS!

I think MO was hoping to pull a fast one, or they are completely incompetent. What part of the 4th Amendment is unclear? Once the RCs were off probation/parole, the State lost all rights to the 4th waiver they had. Once again, that pesky Constitution is getting in the way.

I think the legislator who authored it knew full well what he was doing, and his apology falls quite short.
