Is she friend or foe?
What would an optometrist know about PFR treatment of sex? I would think an independent psychiatrist seems like a better fit. Governor Abbott is a douche bag!!
Does Ms Aliseda have any certifications in psychology, criminal psychology, criminal sexual psychology, or sex offender treatment? She could have one of these or all of these, but chose to be an optometrist.
There were two other names on the article. Gov Abbot appointed three individuals to this panel. I did some online research and here’s a website that gives more info that doesn’t have a pop-up window that blocks the rest of the article: https://gov.texas.gov/news/post/governor-abbott-appoints-three-to-texas-council-on-sex-offender-treatment
Ms. Stanley, PhD is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and Sex Offender Treatment Provider-Supervisor, Ms. Strother is a lawyer with a bachelors in agricultural economics, and Ms. Aliseda is an optometrist. At least Dr. Stanley has a lot of counseling background.
Well, it is better than someone who owns a polygraph testing office as we have seen a bit of that conflict in our area.
Wow! Looks like old Hot Wheels Abbott is really serious about treatment! Well, at least, everyone on the registry will be able to SEE the extra punishment coming to them! What an idiot!
I’m glad they appointed an optometrist. At least they have someone in charge that can see how messed up the registry is.
