A bipartisan pair of senators launched an investigation this week into the gaming platform Roblox, citing concerns about explicit content and its alleged “connection to real world child abuse.”
Sens. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) sent a letter Wednesday informing Roblox CEO David Baszucki that the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Counterterrorism opened a child safety investigation into the company.
“You trumpet Roblox as a safe digital playground for children as young as five,” the senators wrote. “But the public record raises serious questions about this promise of safety.”
Roblox has recently faced scrutiny over its safety practices for kids, including the company’s age verification methods and content moderation. Multiple states have sued the company, alleging a lack of sufficient oversight on the platform exposes children to abusive or sexual content.

I think this shows an example of the corporate responsibilities on safety and security. But yet it puts the blame on the citizens? Parents have to constantly watch over your shoulder this day and age, which honestly they shouldn’t have too. Either Finland or Norway does not have a public registry. And not only that, when they found out about this happening on gaming platform when not out in public they actually get on there and communicate a certain way to investigate while playing the game…not causing issues unlike here in the great land of the new Rome. I think our system needs guard rails on when it comes law enforcement. They’ve come to be trained on how to use psycological manipulation as a weapon. In the wrong hands that can cause detrimental effects without allowing for any consequences because it’s their word over a citizen. We have the registry. Which numerous studies have been done and shows the absolute negative outcome over takes the positive. They just want our information for constant surveillance, which allows them to surveillance others also without others realizing it. Contacts. Then we have school resource officers. Metal detectors. Sign-in sheets. Background checks. School parent registries. And the distance restrictions? Flock cameras I think there should be a distance restriction on flock cameras if they keep it, keep it within a 1000 ft of the places with the distance restrictions or government buildings, then whats the point of the registry? They are being put up all across the u.s. in mainly residential areas or even locally majority have been put in black majority neighborhoods instead of parks or schools like they should be. It’s already been proven law enforcement have abused the platform numerous times for their own benefit whether it be exploitation or stalking. And they allow financing by companies connected to a country that is technically committing genocide. And that country also has surveillance companies and programs tied with our government? Safety and security concerns…. See why we need guard rails? So what’s the point of the distance restrictions? What’s the point of the registry if they’re gonna watch the publics every move anyways? Facebook was the first company here in the u.s. too implement facial recognition systems into their software. Then our phone cameras and so on. All came from China. Every time a camera picks up facial details and pinpoint a person it brings up ALL their information. And you’d be surprised at how much info they have on people with them even being aware. The police are literally allowed to create a warrant from thin air as long as the judge signs it. That means ANYBODY can have one put against them they see fit. And this does happen. Happened too me. Almost lost my job and everything. I was stuck in jail over the weekend before having to be bonded out AGAIN. The government created a loophole to fund the doj when they allowed the payment of grant money and whatever else when the registry was created. The fed should NOT be allowed to hand money over too them. Period. Doj is to be seperate. And for good reason. Just like the Fed accountability office should be but it’s not. That’s like having an internal audit of a police station knowing everybody in brotherhood, it does NOT work. How is a citizen to trust any law enforcement when they know they can’t be trusted in the first place? Alot of people aren’t aware the law enforcement we know today was originally a gang of immigrants that got tired of the bad exploitation of neighbors by other gangs. So they got tired of it and grouped together. Eventually they needed money, so people were willing to pay them for the protection they offered. Local funding, not the government. Law enforcement is still a gang, it’s a ‘brotherhood’ with immunities. Locally there have been multiple domestic abuse cases and other laws broken by law enforcement even the loss of a life of a deaf man that wasn’t bothering anyone, and even ones that should be on the registry but arenth. Theyre allowed to pull a gun on somebody when they dont even pose a real threat. Almost had that done too me too, too comply. Yet there’s no accountability, they are able to ‘resign’ or transfer too another department. How is that accountability? A state trooper was caught here dragging an ex off her front porch, never convicted, just transferred. Yet they want the accountability of the public? Attorneys and lawyers both within Kentucky know the whole system corrupted from the top down. If we don’t create guard rails now for the sake of future generations how much more will they be able to get by with? Electric shock gloves coming to use now? People see that it’s cool and funny but what about the long term health effects? Heart attacks? I have multiple health issues including nerve degeneration. That could cause health issues later on no one realize til it’s too late. What if it’s raining outside or water on the floor? Law enforcement as a cool new toy tax payers get too foot. They don’t care how much it costs as long as their yearly budget allows for it. Why are they not saving the money? And taxes keep going up after another excuse. Every year they have to spend what they have left? How does that make sense? Continuous funding of a gang hoard. No corporate responsibility or accountability for public safety. Law enforcement keeps getting bigger and better toys and weapons to implement against the public. Why should tax dollars fund buying law enforcement a Lamborghini? Knowing that even federal officials or people with money aren’t held to the same standard as the average American. It’s becoming a police state backed by socialism. This isn’t America anymore. There’s no freedom when someone watches your every move. There’s studies on people that KNEW of constant surveillance and even though nothing was done that was illegal, it still caused emotional and mental trauma. Including paranoia. Now imagine that on a national scale. If you watch snowden they literally say that if you even have as much 4 contacts, they have access too over 25 million without a warrant. This isn’t America anymore. Hasn’t been since the registry.
