The debut feature documentary from David Feige, former attorney-turned-author and now filmmaker, is a thorough and thought-provoking examination of its theme. But the theme is not quite as straightforward as the viewer initially assumes. What starts out as an exploration of the highly emotive, hot-button topic of sexual offenses – particularly those in which children are the victims – turns out to be an indictment of the problems in the American legislative process and its dogmatic and draconian legal system. Review: ‘Untouchable’ Questions the Unspeakable Truth
I saw the trailer to this film at http://www.untouchablefilm.com/. I was wondering if CARSOL could host a screening of this film?
I posted this on Florida Action sure: [so much for equal opportunity)
I was following oncefallen on Twitter while he was in NY. I was surprised to learn that the director of Untouchable had a Q&A after the screening with LAUREN BOOK! and no other guest with an opposing view point.
I understand reviews are stating the doc was balanced but how strange to invite Lauren Book and NOT another person to offer a balanced view?
Wow. Disappointing
[Derek’s reply:]
Not only was ONLY Lauren Book in the post-screening Q&A, I was asked by the producer to be gentle to Lauren because she is “skittish.” Well, if Lauren can’t handle a simple Q&A alone (the producer answered half of Lauren’s own questions), imagine this ditzy blonde as state senator. She could not answer a simple question about Florida’s registry law!
David told me that the speaking parts for ARM were left out because it was too critical of the Book family. if only I didn’t mention Ron’s criminal record, he said. Oh, I’m not supposed to criticize the Books but they called every rally goer Pedophiles and predators!
Tom Madison was with me and can back up everything I just told you. If anyone else can catch the last screening, you can meet Lauren too.

Interesting review done by Derek and Tom of the film. I wish I could see this film and pervert park made last year.
Also a very interesting comment left on daily strength by Wisconsin.
Because he (Books) was able to weasel his way out of all of his legal issues with minimal damage to himself or his family means he has never experienced the same thing. In an article I read: http://sexoffenderissues.blogspot.c… There is a quote in it by him… The excerpt:
————This past September 21, Book pleaded guilty to four misdemeanor charges and was fined $2000. He also agreed to donate $40,000 to charity as an additional punishment. But rather than express remorse at having cynically subverted the public trust, Book asks for sympathy and says he should be given some credit for being man enough to plead guilty and admit his mistakes: “Anyone who says the decision to stand up and accept responsibility was an easy one, I tell them: ‘Get in my shoes, get in my clothes and feel it.’ I have been pained and I have been hurt. It hasn’t been easy. Not at all.”————-
The fact that he at no point in his life has shown much remorse, it is obvious we are dealing with a narcissistic sociopath. He cares about no one but himself, his gains, his clout, his stuff, his daughter, his daughter’s life, since he owns it all in his mind. He is probably clinically unstable, just given his repeat deviance and utter contempt for the law as it applies to him.
This movie is about registered citizens and the Books.
With perspective brings truth.
