RSOL Conference: CONFERENCE DISCOUNTS END JULY 31

Discounts for the national RSOL conference, including registration and hotel, will end on July 31. In order to take advantage of those discounts, please register for the conference and hotel no later than that date.  After July 31, the conference rate will increase from $90 to $100 and the hotel rate will increase from $89 to $130 per night.  It’s easy to register online at www.nationalrsol.org.

Scholarships for the conference are available to qualified California registrants and family members who volunteer at the conference.  Please contact Janice at (805) 896-7854 or via E-mail at jmbellucci@aol.com for additional information.

The conference will provide unique opportunities for both registrants and family members to learn more about issues of importance, including registries, residency restrictions, and presence restrictions.  The conference also offers registrants and family members an opportunity to be heard regarding the challenges they face.

Presentations at the conference will begin on Friday, August 30, and continue through noon on Sunday, September 1.  The conference will include a live music concert the evening of Saturday, August 31.  Tickets for the concert only are available online at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/401996  for a cost of only $15.  Tickets will not be available at the door.  The concert features Larisa Stow and the Shakti Tribe, a five-piece band that plays world music that both inspires and gives hope to all.

July 31 is less than 3 weeks away! Don’t miss the discounted fees for registration and/or the hotel. California RSOL will be represented at the national RSOL conference, including presentations from board members Alex Landon, Linda Cordero and Janice Bellucci. Come join us for education, networking and hope! Some scholarships are available based upon need.

I would like to volunteer for the National RSOL Conference, since I live in L.A.
But, I am terrified that I will be photographed or “videotaped”
in some way.
Very sorry…

Frank, I am with National RSOL, and this is the official word on your concern. I hope this will allay your fears and encourage you to attend the conference.

Nobody is videoed without permission, not by us and not by any roving media. Focus is only on speakers or people who have agreed to be interviewed. No exceptions.

I gave my name to volunteer at the LA RSOL meeting in May, but have not heard anything yet.

Please let me know if you need me, by July 31, so that I can register IF I am not needed to volunteer.

Thank you!
Rob

I tried last night to buy tickets to the concert at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/401996?date=850322
