Time has come to declare voting a universal, fundamental right

I voted today.

I know. What’s the big deal, right? Most Americans exercise the privilege sorta like they wash their cars. Sometimes it’s important. Other times, whatever.

And that’s all it is, you know. A privilege. Yes, it’s 2016. Yes, we talk a good game about self-government and democracy. But voting in American, unlike speech and breeding, still doesn’t rank as “fundamental” in the pantheon of rights, at least not “legally” speaking. Full Article

Speaking of Voting…Donald Trump sure does worry me the way he refers to all registered citizens. He is set in his mind that an offender cannot be fixed and should be castrated. He says they can’t be fixed.

Now that’s a president who would make things harder for us. Talk about Ex Post Facto. Along with dealing with new laws and regulations aimed at us. I’ll bet he would be our worst nightmare.
Cruz is more of a “Constitutional” candidate. Really torn between a Progressive or a Conservative for us to have a chance of being on our side. And Cruz is a faith-based candidate. that should help, too.

No politician will take our side or help, not Trump, Cruz, Sanders or Bill Clinton’s wife. Michelle Obama’s husband is the most liberal and progressive President of my lifetime and he signed a law that authorizes special markings on passports for Former Citizen Detainees and NOT for people convicted of murder, terrorism, spousal abuse, identity theft, espionage or any other crime. SCOTUS might rule against things like the IML and that remains to be seen, but it is a long-shot but the only shot. No one who makes their living from votes will ever openly support Former Citizen Detainees.

We are a very tiny and unpopular group of former citizens. Americans do not, in general, consider us part of them, one of them, on their side.

There are many who are quietly concerned about the trend of laws being tested on us, but they will not say anything, for as we all know, to defend a Former Citizen Detainee is to either be one or support one.

We will gain small victories through the efforts of folks like Janice, but the overall war will not be won in the lifetime of most of us.

Unfortunately the attention needed can only come from that which we do not publicly speak, for those brown shirts in Utah and their blue-clad enforcers that read this forum would place us on additional lists to be listed with other people listed on lists.

I am voting for Trump because I think the shakeup will be the most initially disrupting to Americans in general. But I also think he will be able to work with Congress to reduce oppressive business regulations and foster growth. The best thing that can happen to Former Citizen Detainees to return to being citizens is for there to be so many jobs that we can once again be employable. The laws will never get better overall. Regionally things might improve for some and get far worse for others.

As a Former Citizen Detainee, maybe I am the most American of all when I truly feel as the founders felt: If you are not willing to kill and/or die to be heard, your voice is but a whisper.

Some of us can vote, myself included, but until our numbers are so great that we can elect one of our own, we cannot pretend we will become Americans again. Heck, I believe we are not even allowed to lobby in some states anymore!

I know my speech and terminology is unpopular with some. I still have that right.

      For now.

I don’t trust any of the of these folk running . all of them have shown to be two faced liers , I was looking at Ran Paul , but everyone made joke out of him , just as they did RON Paul , both shown to be good men , one thing thats sure is the fact we need someone that will listen to everyone ! and an open mind , ! because none will listen to us in less it is put in there face , the canadates are out of touch with real life problems , they just do that little dance on the end of that puppet string , and only answer to there friends that better line the pockets of the there friends that already have to much power over Citizens as it is
