The order was issued by the 4th District Court of Appeals today so it’s being posted prior to our adding commentary in an effort to share this as quickly as possible.
The court voided Senator Lauren Book’s restraining order against Once Fallen’s Derek Logue.
We all knew it was bogus, now the court’s agree!
UPDATE: All the credit MUST go to attorney Gary Edinger, of Benjamin, Aaronson, Edinger & Patanzo for writing an incredible appellate brief. Lots of appreciation to Gary, Jamie Benjamin and Danny Aaronson for defending the First Amendment and for their dedication to Derek’s (and all who fight for reform’s) advocacy.
Read the original article and congratulate Derek on the Florida Action Committee website
Wish I could be a fly on the wall when Senator Bubblehead cries to her daddy to fire the judge:
“Now princess, it’s a Federal court. Daddy doesn’t own that one.”
“But daaaaaaadyyyyy, courts are stupid. And we don’t live in Federal, we live in Florida. Duuuuhhhhh!”
I didn’t read the order or any court documents, but since the article said 4th District Court of Appeals, it is clearly a state court, not federal. Florida is in the 11th federal CCOA.
I can hear Dustin’ comment in 1980s Valley Girl/ Princess voice.
BTW, Lauren has, in the past year, ran to the media claiming she was also the target of both the MAGA Bomber AND Jeffrey Epstein. She’s obviously a few peanuts shy of a Planter’s factory.
When your parents have someone else raise you it sends a message about your worth to them. This is how her nanny was able to act. Then suddenly being victimized get you attention from the neglectful parents. Victims stance is the most dangerous mental space one can be in, much less lived in.
You can see it in dogs when neglectful owners inadvertently force the dog into the Alpha position because they refuse to assert human dominance at all times. She’s lived in victims stance and been repeatedly praised for it. IMO, her behavior is predictable until it didn’t work, then she becomes the greater risk. I’d not like to be the one suffering her projection the next time around.
What is the other case concerns Derek?
I think he is referring to the EPF plus case that FAC has taken on.
Hey! I like peanuts.
I love that he posted her address and that made her feel unsafe. What’s the problem? Aren’t their laws preventing people from coming to your home to harass you?
@SR:
Apparently that unsafe feeling of having one’s address broadcast bothers her only when applied to her and her calves (as in offspring, not lower legs)…but not when applied to “me and my (fellow) RC.” (Sorry, I couldn’t resist using that old advertising slogan.)
Glad to see a win against Senator Snowflake and her Drunk Driver Daddy. Way to go!!!
So damn funny. Love those names but you’ve got to incorporate their real names into it so people can find them with searches. Maybe “Lauren Book/Crook, Sentator Snowflake”? Doesn’t seem like you’d want to say “Lauren ‘Senator Snowflake’ Book/Crook” because doesn’t seem like that would show up in a search for “lauren book/crook”. I’m no Google expert, but seems that way.
I hate when courts use footnotes to make ad hominem attacks.
Congratulations Derek!
Deep and serious gratitude to Mr. Logue. If only we all had his wit and courage and strength.
Here, however, is a nice summation of the Case that Derek won, (for all of us, even Californians).
He has made the big time in legal blogs! (and it is a good read)

If all Registered People were like Derek, it is possible that the Registries would not exist. Or at the very, very least, these scumbag criminal regimes and their law enforcement criminals would not be harassing people whenever they got a whim.
Derek is a good man.
