Hilarious that a fellow RSO was the one who spilled the beans… “they won’t eat my face! I am ‘One of the Good Ones'” type mentality…

The good Doc is doing the good work 🙏 Even the neighbor Michael said he doesn’t want a better neighbor. The woman running the daycare ain’t got a problem with the facility. Attorneys & LEOs don’t have a problem bringing their children to the daycare. So what is the problem? Seems like this is another Karen issue

After watching this, I intend to write KOAT about Shelly Ribando using the word “loophole” to describe the situation in Farmington. New Mexico intentionally has no residency restrictions, and characterizing that legislative decision as a loophole implies something was overlooked and needs correcting. Given the treatment facility’s sterling 25-year history and the low recidivism rate for people with a former sex offense conviction, such moral panic is absurd. I suspect that the daycare center is newer than the treatment facility.
I also will write the Farmington police chief about his statement regarding the 1000′ rule. Unless such a restriction is part of probation rules, there can be no local residency restrictions. The state SORNA laws have what is called the “preemption; saving” clause, (NMSA 29-11A-9) which explicitly prohibits local authorities from imposing restrictions or requirements not specified in state statutes. If the City of Farmington does indeed have a residency restriction, it is in violation of the law.
