OH: 9-year-old boy charged with sex crime

CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) – Crimes are committed by the very young. Sometimes the child doesn’t realize he or she is crossing the line, but if a complaint is filed and an investigation produces evidence, a prosecutor has to begin legal action.

They can be small and still be a criminal and end up in a juvenile facility. The case involving the 9-year old boy happened on Fernshire Drive in Centerville recently. He is now charged with gross sexual imposition, accused of pulling down the pants of another child and touching him inappropriately Full Article

You are kidding, right? This must be an April’s fools joke, but we are not in April. When will people realize the silliness of all this? Has this world gone absolutely mad?

    • Jim

I for one agree with you! not only that they made these laws up to protect the children, now they are using them to prosecute the children. For crying out loud what has the united states come to other then the corrupt bunch of corrupt SOBs in the office.

  2. G4Change

What he did was wrong, but to charge him with a sex crime….really???????? We have truly lost our way in this country!

      G4Change:

I’m not entirely sure I could call this a crime; no, wait! I’m sure I could not consider this a crime. Kids explore their sexuality in many way’s and should not be prosecuted for exploring one of the basic instincts they come into this world hardwired with. This kid had the misfortune of being borne to a family here in Amerika, and that’s a sad thing, if his entire life isn’t totally destroyed by this he will grow up programmed to be a slave to business and the government. If the other child had a problem with what happened and told mommy; mommy should have handled it like an adult instead of running to the terrorist police. The article or video didn’t give much in the way of detail and sounded more like they were justifying and rationalizing prosecuting a child with a criminal offense.

    • Jim

How can you say that what he did was wrong? without knowing why he did what was done. maybe he was more informed on the male anatomy and was trying to explain to his friend!IT’S ALL BS

      • G4Change

By wrong, I mean that he should be taught not to go pulling other people’s pants down….I do NOT mean that it should be considered a crime. Crap like this should never even be dealt with by the authorities.
Yes, he may want to explore sexuality, but then teach him the right way and the wrong way. Don’t prosecute him for God’s sake!
What the hell every happened to Mens Rea in this country??? A 9-year-old could not have true intent to commit a sexual crime. So, how the hell can he be charged with one??????

Un-effing-believable. Comments for the article are closed, of course. I was dying to tear the author a new one.

Third “paragraph” down: “The older juveniles that is from a few years ago are helping Dayton police sort through stolen copper as part of community service.”

WTF? It’s called Proof Reading. Look into it.

One commenter made a great point:

“Sexual innuendo is everywhere from Animated films aimed at children to billboards.”

Tell me about it. Last night I was enjoying Whose Line is it Anyway with my 6 year old daughter. We were both laughing at their antics when suddenly Wayne Brady assumes the character of a dog and starts to hump another actor’s leg. Immediately I change the channel to something, anything, else.
Now, if we had dogs and my kids saw them doing this they would have heard the explanation of that they are doing and seeing it on TV would have been OK, but in this case, I don’t need my kid going to school the next day and acting out what she saw on TV the night before. Can you imagine the headline? Kindergartner Charged with Sexual Assault for Humping Leg of Classmate.

Treasonous deserters are traded for murderous terrorists and 12 year old girls are trying to kill each other.

The world gets more screwed up and scary every day.

This Government just gets more nut’s, that’s why people like Edward Snowden are my Hero’s.

I am of the same mind. I don’t know if I am right or not, but it sure seems to me paranoid schizophrenia is spreading in the population. I guess it has been called a moral panic. People’s perceptions get skewed by the general conversation spread across a population, defining a certain reality, with no proof but the perception itself.

Nice to know the streets of Centerville, Ohio are safer now that they’ve nabbed another “pervert”, “child molester”, and dangerous “sex offender”. Wouldn’t it be nice to meet the brain trust behind all this nonsense? Will this crap ever end?
