WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) – Thursday, Governor Bobby Jindal signed bill HB 638 into law. It toughens the laws for sex offenders and child predators who fail to register with the state.
Governor Jindal said, “In Louisiana, we need to protect our children and citizens from offenders of the most lewd and vile crimes. This law makes it a criminal offense and will require jail time for convicted offenders who provide false information and who fail to register with the state in the time frame required by law. Hopefully, these offenders will think twice before attempting to skirt the law.“ Full Article
OH YIKES!!!!! I’m soooo glad I don’t live in Louisiana!! They’re 100% and then some redneck down there! It seems like cooking up over the top penalties for registrants is the favorite pass-time down there. This article makes me wonder what else they have, aside from hard labor with no chance of anything other than serving every second of your sentence if you break registry laws. Look on the left of the screen where it says “sex offenders” and click on the + sign; you’ll see a full size picture of someones leg and foot wearing a GPS device! It seems the news papers love registrants just as much as the hick cops do.

Why don’t these people start focusing on the fact that we owe China $1.317 Trillion and there is no way it could be paid back if China pulled it? But hey what am I thinking far more important let’s pass more laws regarding Sex Offender! Let’s spend more tax money enforcing it. What is wrong with these people what is their thought process?
