No, Senator Grassley, the Adam Walsh Act does NOT need to be re-authorized (Open Letter)

Mr. Grassley, like you, we grieve with families of children who are victimized and abused, and we especially grieve that virtually all of this type of crime is committed by the family members and others close to their young victims. Like you, we would like to see a strong commitment to keeping our nation’s children safe.

Unlike you, however, we have seen no evidence of this commitment for the past twenty-five years. Such a commitment must be based on solid research, on facts and evidence, and on the reality of both child sexual abuse and of those who are the abusers. Full Article

Hear is your chance to pay back Grassley. Post Negative messages around his state
about taxes, crime and Etc. read this:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/whitehouse/ex–lt-gov-judge-launches-bid-against-iowa-sen-grassley/2016/03/04/11c51f36-e22d-11e5-8c00-8aa03741dced_story.html

Wonderful article!!! Right on point!!! Grassley will read that and fully understand the failed registry and implement something to truly attempt to prevent sexual abuse against children and not support the AWA. How could he not?

I would also grieve for that teenager in Alabama who streaked at a Football game as a prank, then committed suicide after learning he would likely be put on the registry. When a police officer is convicted of a crime, I have often read that they then go back and look at all of his cases and maybe throw out some of the past convictions that involved that officer. This principle should be applied to SORNA/AWA after learning of Walshs child sex crime admissions and SORNA author Mark Foley’s underage intern scandal. Walsh has been running this scam for a while now and this needs to be stopped as it only gets worse.

Send that letter to him and every other member of congress with documentation of the facts stated in the letter. Just don’t send one copy, but hundreds to each senator, representative, and their respective staff. Also include at the end of the letter the name and position of each person who it was sent to. Finally insure every reporting organization in the country gets copies so there’s no way it can be ignored.
